Ah, fanfic.
Where would we be without it?
Just think what life would be like without knowing
exactly what happened between the time Jack saved Daniel from a fall
of the balcony and the infirmary scene. Just try and imagine not
reading about the team's celebration of Daniel's return from
never-never ascended land. Can you possibly even think about never
knowing what question Daniel was asking Jack during that time loop?
Okay, so we'll never know the real stories. But
that's because the boys at Bridge didn't write them. So thus it was
left to many a fanfic writer to give us the possibilities , to open
up even more worlds, provide even more adventures and give us those
friendships and relationships and cross-overs that make being a fan
so much fun.
Hallowed are the Ori? Nope, hallowed are the fanfic
authors.
And hallowed are the zine publishers who put the
authors' works in book form for those of us who still love the
classic feel of a story on a printed page.
This is one such zine.
Produced in 1999, Gateways was the first of a series
of zines which are with stories and artwork by some of the best
writers and artists in Stargate SG-1 fandom.
Within the 500 pages of this spiral bound zine are
hurt comfort stories, team stories, stories where friends care about
friends... you know, classic SG-1!
The zine is, of course, a 'previously owned' issue, in
good condition.
