No tights, no flights.
That was the working motto for this successful sci-fi series that
explored the early years... the very early teenage years!... of one
of the best known and best loved super-heroes, Superman.
Smallville introduced us to Clark Kent as a teenager, exploring all
the usual teenage storylines with a super-hero twist.
It also introduced us to Lex Luthor, and gives us some insight into
the life that molded the super-hero's arch nemesis.
Last year the series reached a milestone that very
few, these days, reach... its 100th episode.
As is standard in the film and television industry,
a tribute was paid to the series in a Hollywood mag - in this case,
the Daily Variety - with thank you and congratulatory messages placed
by the series' producers, and the agencies of the many actors who
bring the series to life.
As a daily issue of the magazine, this edition came
and went faster than a speeding bullet (come on, we had to use that
one!) and is now very hard to find. The magazine is approximately 10"
x 14" in size and in 'as new' condition. (Yet another that was
bought, glanced over and stored on a shelf!)
Together with the magazine, we're adding to this
bundle 2 photos of series stars Tom Welling (Clark Kent), Kristin
Kreuk (Lana Lang) and Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor). One photo
(lower right) is a standard 8" x 10", the other is approx 8" x 11".
